TM Design Research developed the patented SkyDeck RV's licensed under their SkyDeck Industries LLC subsidiary to Airstream and to Thor America. TM Design Research holds several basic patents, including the SuperSlide (Recreational Vehicle Full-Length Slideout System), the UltraLight Recreational Vehicle Body System, the RV Composite Chassis, the Rooftop Deck Systems for Vehicles and the Hybrid Electric Heavy-Duty Vehicle Drive System. StreamLiner RV Inc., SkyDeck Industries LLC, are wholly owned subsidiaries of TM Design Research, which has offices in Washington State and Florida.

RV design team turns to NASA for help building a vehicle that can withstand excessive heat and sub-zero temperatures. When the RV vehicle design team of Frank Messano and Jim Teeter needed help to build one of the most advanced RVs in the world: the StreamLiner Trailer, they turned to NASA.
